Youth Fellowship

The youth are the future of the Church, the pillars on which the church stands. Hence the Youth Fellowship is a vital organ of the church.

The members of the Fellowship have their weekly association each Sunday from 6p.m to 7 p.m. The fellowship has many youngsters as its members and is very active throughout the year. The year- long calendar of events is prepared and adhered to.

Every week the fellowship gets together and spends quality time in the Bible study, singing songs of worship and praise. Various well known speakers from different places are invited to address the youths. Besides, quizzes, debates and group discussion on current topics are held regularly. The main intent of the Fellowship is to instill the qualities and teachings of Jesus and the heroes of the Old Testament like David, Daniel, Moses and Joshua so as to equip them to face the worldly challenges boldly and courageously.

Each year special revival meetings and retreats are organised to rejuvenate our youths and teach them the truths of the Scriptures. The in depth Bible study is conducted to instill in the young minds the Christian values and the courage to stand up as strong witnesses for Christ.

Youth Sunday is celebrated each year with much enthusiasm and active participation. On this special Sunday, the youths take the major role in the holy service. The service is extra special because of its songs, skits and special message.

Christmas too is celebrated in a special way. The youngsters choose a village and go there to celebrate Christmas amongst the have-nots. They not only share the good news of our Saviour’s birth but of the abundant love that God has for all His creation. They go bearing various gifts and celebrate the birth of our LORD with beautiful carols, skits and message for the lost.

The Youth Fellowship has till date grown by leaps and bounds and we pray the LORD that it continues to grow and be a fitting medium for the youth of the church, nurturing, sustaining, guiding and leading them, being the ever shining lighthouse to lead the lost soul to the tender mercies of the LORD.
